CWSAMS is a Small Business that is 51 percent unconditionally and directly owned by a woman. We are committed to Government policies that encourage contractor participation in socioeconomic programs including the use of small businesses; HUB Zone Small Businesses; Woman-owned Small Businesses; Service-disabled Veteran-owned Small Businesses; and Veteran-owned Small Businesses. Our internal policies and procedures ensure all employees are aware of the Company’s Small Business Program and understand the importance of awarding a fair and reasonable proportion of subcontracts to socio-economically disadvantaged companies.

We are pro-active in promoting awareness of subcontracting opportunities though community outreach by contacting local Chambers of Commerce and small business trade associations. We also use various Government websites including the SBA, and other Government Small Business contacts such as System for Award Management (SAM) to locate capable firms. All subcontractors (including suppliers) are selected on a competitive basis to the maximum practical extent consistent with the objectives and requirements of the contract, and all advertisements and subcontracting opportunities will be issued with the CWSAMS policies for ensuring competition and small business participation.
